Cat's Eye Scapolite otherwise known as Wernerite originates from the Latin word "scapus" and the Greek word "lithos" which means rod-stone. This semi-precious gemstone belongs to the Tectosilicates family of minerals and is found all over the world in places such as Brazil, Tanzania, and Sri Lanka. Its hues range from grey-white to green-yellow and even brown. Generally, in terms of transparency this gemstone is closer to being translucent and is usually shaped into cabochons. It is usually used in jewelry like necklaces or rings. This rare gemstone is soft and can be prone to breakage and scratches. It is said to bring about success, good luck, and increase concentration.
